Dr Pendo Mwaiteleke holds a Bachelor of Social Work (curtin), MA Public Policy and PhD (Murdoch).
Pendo undertakes policy consultancies & contracts; has extensive experience in policy roles, research and advocacy in the field. Previously, she served as Lecturer in Social Policy and Social Work at Curtin University for 12 years. She has coordinated multiple policy submissions to Parliament and government authorities supporting industry and community sector groups. In the late 1990s Pendo also coordinated the development of the first WA State Government Domestic Violence Protocols for Public Hospitals (program won a National Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Award). She has served in multiple federal and state government advisory groups and NGO Boards.
